About Coast Gigs

Coast Gigs is one list of who is playing live on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, from Bay St. Louis to Pascagoula. It covers local musicians in the rooms where they play: bars, restaurants, breweries, listening rooms, halls and festival stages. Casino headliners and arena tours are left to the ticket sellers.

Every show has its own page that links to where it was posted. A filled dot means the venue or the act posted it on their own page. An open circle means it came from a listing site, such as Eventbrite or a city events calendar, and has not been checked at the venue yet.

It is run from Gulfport by one person who has spent a lot of nights in these rooms. Bands and venues keep it current by posting their shows.

What we list

Live music by local and regional musicians in Hancock, Harrison and Jackson counties: bars, restaurants, breweries, listening rooms, halls, churches with public concerts, and festival stages.

We leave out casino showroom headliners, arena and amphitheater tours, DJ nights, comedy, trivia, bingo, parties and anything that is not live music, even when a listing site files it under music. Those are dropped when the listings are read, and each drop is logged so it can be checked.

Shows are read from venue and band pages and from listing sites, and bands and venues can post their own. A changed show is updated, not deleted, and a show's page stays up after the date.

To correct a listing, use "Report a correction" on the show's page, or write to hello@coastgigs.com with the show and what changed. Venues and bands are the best source, and their word settles it.

Put the shows in your calendar

Every show page has an "Add to calendar" button. To get every show as it is posted, subscribe to the whole Coast or one town: Bay St. Louis, Biloxi, D'Iberville, Gulfport, Moss Point, Ocean Springs, Pascagoula. In Apple Calendar choose File, New Calendar Subscription; in Google Calendar choose Other calendars, From URL, and paste the link.
